AIKEN, S.C. – Martha Ann Jenkins Osbon Brantley, 77, beloved wife of
James Brantley, died Sunday, March 31, 2013. Born in LaGrange, GA,
Martha was the daughter of the late Luther and Viola Fain Jenkins. A
life long resident of Aiken, Martha worked in sales for Farmers
Furniture. She was a member of South Aiken Church of God, the CSRA
Holiday Rambler Club and the Retired Military Travel Club. Martha was a
loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held on
Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Shellhouse Funeral Home
Chapel with the Pastor Bruce Fox officiating. Pallbearers will be Shawn
Brantley, Evan Ochiltree, Chris Gay, Michael Carignan, Noah Carignan and
Jeffery Osbon. Interment will follow in historic Bethany Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Cynthia Osbon
Carignan, Aiken, SC, two stepdaughters; Melodie (Dan) Mericer, Auburn,
GA, Pamela (Dean) Ochiltree, N. Augusta, SC, three sons; Arthur Jack
(Donna) Osbon, III, Everett Lee Osbon, Allendale, SC, Danny Jay Osbon,
Augusta, GA, three stepsons; Douglas (Charlotte) Brantley, Enterprise,
AL, Donald (Denise) Brantley, Conyers, GA, Daniel (Irma) Brantley,
Kennesaw, GA, eighteen grandchildren; Alex Osbon, Andrea Carrano,
Whitney Ponton Gay, Michael Brett Carignan, Noah Jackson Carignan, Holly
Ricketson, Jackson Osbon, Jeffrey Osbon, Jennifer Osbon, Christine and
Brandon Forbes, Evan and Taylor Ochitree, Collin, Colby, Shawn,
Nicholas, and Bryan Brantley, and fourteen great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Jackson Osbon, Jr., a
son, Gary Wayne Osbon, a grandchild, Phillip Osbon, and a sister,
Dorothy Hicks. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Brantley’s name can be
made to Christ Central New Ellenton/Stepping Stones Ministries, 412 Main
St. South New Ellenton, SC 29809. The family will receive will friends
on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924
HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC
